Philippines Embassy services

The Philippines, located in Southeast Asia, is attractive to British residents due to its scenery, low cost of living, and diverse culture.

Many people wish to travel to the Philippines to work or live. In order to make the move, they may need the services of a notary public. They will also have to use Philippines Embassy services in the UK.

There is also a large Filipino community in the UK who require notary services. According to Statista.com, there were approximately 53,000 Filipino nationals residing in the United Kingdom in 2021.

Filipino nationals who are already in the UK often need the services of a UK-based notary public in order to conduct official business. This is a service we provide.

Hiring Filipino workers

If you or the company you work for is interested in hiring workers from the Philippines, there are certain criteria you must meet. Filipino workers must have a visa, called the Overseas Employment Certificate, to leave the country. This means the following documents need to be provided to the Philippine Embassy:

  • A Philippine Overseas Employment Administration (POEA) for Skilled Workers – attested by a registered Notary Public
  • A photocopy of the worker’s passport
  • A copy of Immigration/Employment approval or Working Visa
  • A photocopy of employer’s passport
  • A business/trade licence of the company or sponsor.

Do you want to work in the Philippines?

If you want to stay in the Philippines for an extended period, you may need to apply for a visa.

One of the most popular visas is the Non-immigrant Visa. It cannot be used to settle in the Philippines but is available to overseas nationals who want to stay in the Philippines for a specific but limited purpose. Reasons for applying for an Non-immigrant Visa include tourism, business, and study.

We also provide support and guidance on becoming a digital nomad in the Philippines – whereby overseas nationals can go to the country to work digitally. We can talk you through the steps required.

If you are planning on travelling to the Philippines, you will need to get the necessary documents notarised as soon as possible, this is a service we provide.
