Affidavit for a Nigerian SIM

It is a requirement for Nigerians who lose their Subscriber Identity Module (SIM) cards overseas to provide an affidavit when they apply for a new SIM with their Nigerian phone company.

Losing a SIM card can impact your life, as it can make it harder for you to contact people and you cannot access mobile data services. As a result, you may not be able to access banking and other services.

If you live in the UK, you will need to get your affidavit drafted and notarised before it can be used in Nigeria. As notary experts, we can do this for you.

What is an affidavit?

An affidavit is a written statement sworn before a person with authority to administer oaths.

They have a ‘jurat,’ a statement on an affidavit that states when and where it was sworn, and who witnessed it.

For a lost SIM card, you will need an Affidavit of Loss of SIM Card.

What else will I need to get an affidavit for a Nigerian SIM?

You will also need to provide your Nigerian National Identification Number. This is 11 numbers long. It should be written on your affidavit.

You should also include your phone number that was tied to the SIM card.
